About Kai Tirkkonen photography

I started my career as a printer and staff news photographer during the mid -80s. In 1990 I began work as a freelance photographer, moved then to the commercial world and did for many years assignments for the largest Finnish companies like Nokia, TietoEnator, Finnet etc.

I have participated several times in international workshops in such places as Santa-Fe, and these opportunities gave me new ideas to start teaching and my own workshops in Finland. These days I am focusing mainly on editorial, stock and personal projects.

My work with the Finnish deaf people has been rewarding and has generated long-term interest within that community for photography workshops.
